Tour Description

Kadıköy is unofficially considered the center of the Asian side of Istanbul. This is a lively residential district with a bustling food market, pub streets, cafes and boutique shops. It is just across the Old City on the other side of town, offering breathtaking sunsets over Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque that can only be seen from the sea, or the Asian side. Cross over the Bosphorus to this side to see the contrast for yourself.

Food Market

The liveliest part of Kadikoy, the food market is a long street with three distinct sections, stores, restaurants and pubs. Here you can find butchers, grocery stores, fish markets, spice shops, pickle stores and much more. Some of the best restaurants can also be found on this street.

Colorful Umbrellas

Perhaps the most photographed street in Kadikoy is the street with the colorful umbrellas. This beautiful street is decorated with hundreds of tailor-made umbrellas and is a cool spot for having a drink or even a fine dining experience.

Antiques Street

The street of antique stores is surely one of the most thematic places on the Asian side with each shop telling a different story. Here you can find anything from 19th century furniture to 50’s vinyl records, home décor to old sound systems.
