Also known as shakshuka in some countries, Menemen is a traditional Turkish breakfast dish prepared with eggs, tomatoes and peppers. It is a hearty dish cooked in almost every home in Turkey at least once every week or so. Best served with a glass of Turkish tea and breakfast pastry.
See and taste the difference between what we locals mean by “kebab” and what it means in other countries. Kebab can be from lamb, beef, chicken and even organ meats, typically accompanied with grilled or sautéed vegetables.
No food tour would be complete without dessert. Crispy baklava, famous Turkish delight, pistachio rolls, künefe, milk and rice puddings, pumpkin and quince desserts , the list goes on and on. Turkish desserts are truly on a different level. But where do you eat the best? You leave that to us.
